WINTER STORMS:

Stepping into a West Coast Storm can be an incredible experience.  How exciting are the big waves ... and we do have them!  The huge storms that bash our coast from November through February often generate 40 ft breaking seas which in turn rocket spray 100 ft. into the air.

These storm waves tend to "broadcast" outward from the storm centre which means they begin building as much as a day ahead of the storm's arrival and last almost another day after it's departure.

All four rooms have sensational views of the rugged coastline and watching these Pacific Howlers from the warmth and comfort of your own room is awesome and compelling.

The waves seen here are products of a 1999 winter storm. This point is a magical spot to watch the big waves, shipping, or whales. The Wild Pacific Trail winds along the rugged coast from a position just out of this picture and offers views, which we believe, are unparalleled anywhere in the world.
